What Does It Mean to Be “Booed”?

If you’ve ever opened your door in October to find a bag of treats and a note that says, “You’ve Been Booed!”—then you already know the fun!

“You’ve Been Booed” is a lighthearted Halloween tradition that’s all about spreading joy and building connections in your neighborhood. Here’s how it works: once you’ve been “booed,” you place the sign on your door so others know you’ve received a treat. Then, you put together two small bags of goodies, print two copies of the sign, and secretly deliver them to two neighbors. The chain continues until Halloween cheer has spread all around your community.

Why It’s Great for the Community

This simple tradition does more than just deliver candy—it sparks smiles, creates conversations, and strengthens neighborhood bonds. It’s a wonderful way for families, friends, and neighbors to connect and feel part of something festive. Especially in today’s busy world, small acts of kindness like this go a long way in making a community feel closer.

Keep the Fun Going!

Cullen & Company is proud to encourage this tradition as a way to celebrate Halloween and strengthen our local connections. ✨ Let’s keep the magic alive this season—one neighbor, one treat, one smile at a time.
